As we begin a new semester and a new year up here at Clarkson, the snow has come to greet us. I hope that everyone had an enjoyable winter break, and got some time to relax before heading back to buckle down for another semester.
This semester will be a little strange compared to the fall, since all of us MBA's are a little more spread out in different classes, so we'll be seeing a little less of eachother than last semester. We are, however, beginning our differentiated classes for the different tracks, which I know many of us are looking forward to. Some classes that I'm excited about are Environmental Economics and Supply Chain Environmental Management.
We're all also looking ahead to May already, and many of us will be focusing on job hunts this semester. We'll be having our spring career fair on January 23, so we have a few weeks to get our resumes updated and ready to hand out to recruiters. There are a few MBA's who have already accepted job offers for May, and the rest of us have our sights set.

MBA Intramurals on a Roll
As we are kept busy with school work, we are able to find time outside of Snell Hall to partake in Clarkson Intramural Sports. Currently we have a Intramural Soccer Team playing Tuesday and Sunday nights. This has been a great opportunity for us to have some fun and relieve some stress. We also have found out that we have some pretty good soccer players in our program as we are 7-1. We are also looking forward to Broomball Intramurals starting November 1st.
Clarkson Intramurals provides us with exactly what we need during some of our stressful weeks. We get together and have some fun. This gives us a opportunity to build our friendships outside of the classroom which is what we will carry with us after graduation.

Fall Semester 2009 continues...
The leaves are changing colors, as our MBA class enters it's second 7 weeks of classes. On the schedule for the rest of the semester we have Financial Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, and Decision Analysis & Supply Chain Modeling. Compared to the first seven weeks, it feels like we're in for just as much work, however we do have the long Thanksgiving weekend to look forward to.
On the career front, many of our MBA students have participated in several interviews, but most are still waiting to hear back about potential job offers. The next few weeks will hopefully result in some positive results for us.
Looking ahead, we've got Halloween coming up, along with a few Clarkson Hockey games, including our first home game against SLU on the 24th of October. The MBA's are planning on making an appearance at the game (as well as Club 99), so be on the lookout for some photos. Also, we'll hopefully be having a few more contributors to this blog to provide a little more insight, more opinions, and hopefully some actual stories as the year progresses.
Thats all I've got for now, but stay tuned for updates!
